This Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in color "Hawaiian Smoulder" had been
sitting in my drawer for six months unopened. To be quite honest, I had
low expectations of a 100% natural lip product based on other products I
have tried in the past. A few evenings ago, when I had nothing else to
do, I decided to open the lip crayon and I was in for a surprise.
This baby is a pigmented pink! Unlike other natural lip products I have tried in the past, you couldn't distinguish this product from pigmented conventional products in the market. The lip crayon applies smoothly and the color is vibrant. I found that applying two layers helped intensify the color. For a more sheer look, I would only apply one layer. Essentially, this is a nice everyday color that could be intensified for special occasions with more layering.
After trying this Burt's Bees lip crayon, I intend to go purchase the product in other colors. Color me impressed.
